29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):Types of guarding. One or more methods of machine guarding were not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. Examples of guarding methods are-barrier guards, two-hand tripping devices, electronic safety devices, etc. Grinding Room: On or about June 18, 2024, four Acer grinding/polishing machines used on daily basis by production workers were not equipped with guarding. The machines had unguarded rotating parts exposing the workers to hand and arm injuries.

29 CFR 1910.219(e)(3)(i): Vertical and inclined belt was not enclosed by a guard conforming to standards in paragraphs (m) and (o) of this section. Grinding Room: On or about June 18, 2024 a table mounted grinder with unguarded belt was used by the workers. The condition exposed the workers to fingers and or hand injuries.
