On or about June 17, 2024, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee(s) was a using pneumatic nail gun and was not wearing safety glasses, thereby exposing the employee to hazards associated with eye injuries. 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. On or about June 17, 2024, the employer did not have a training program, and employees were not adequately trained in the recognition of jobsite hazards, including but not limited to fall hazards and proper use of fall protection. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
