29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about June 26, 2024, the OKK vertical mill did not have a guard to protect employees from the point of operation not from flying chips. (b) On or about June 26, 2024, the Scottsman 65 ton ironworker had the following points of operation unguarded: shear, punch and the press. (c) On or about Juen 26, 2024, the one side (about 2 inches) of the Hyd-Mech horizontal bandsaw that did not do any cutting was unguarded. (d) On or about June 26, 2024, the Vectrax vertical mill did not have a guard to protect employees from the point of operation nor from flying chips. (e) On or about June 26, 2024, the Yamazaki lathe did not have a chip/chuck guard.
