29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1): For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer shall fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1, unless the employer assesses and limits the exposure of the employee to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section. a) 13557 N. Huron Street, Westminster, Colorado 80112: On or about June 25, 2024, and at times prior, employees were exposed to airborne silica while performing concrete repairs, while using chipping tools that did not have the proper engineering controls in place, to limit employee exposure to airborne silica. b) 13557 N. Huron Street, Westminster, Colorado 80112: On or about June 25, 2024, and at times prior, employees were exposed to airborne silica while performing concrete repairs, while using a handheld power saw that did not have the proper engineering controls in place, to limit employee exposure to airborne silica.
