29 CFR 1910.252(a)(1)(ii): When the object to be welded or cut could not be moved and all the fire hazards could not be removed, guards were not used to confine the heat, sparks, and slag to protect the immovable fire hazards: a) On or about 06/27/2024, at 2901 Jacksonville Street, Fort Myers, Florida 33916, the employer exposed employees to explosion/burn hazards, in that acetylene/oxygen torch cutting was performed on the bolts of an excavator's hydraulic line without ensuring all hydraulic fluid was removed from the system and/or guards were used.
