29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: At the end of the dip tanks at 155 Allston Avenue West Springfield, MA: On and before July 17, 2024, employees engaged in fabricated metal electroplating/dipping process and the employer had not administered a continuing, effective hearing conservation program. Four employees were exposed to an 8-hour time-weighted average (TWA) sound level of 88.3 to 90.7 decibels (dB) measured on the A scale, while operating and working in close proximity to noise-generating tasks associated metal bolts, screws, and clips that are being dipped in a hexavalent chromium or zinc bath and transferred to containers.
