OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees  Location: Jobsite- 526 Waverly St, Waltham, MA  On July 16, 2024, employees were exposed to fall hazards of up to 20 feet while using a ladder platform shingle hoist to access the roof. The hoist was not designed to be used in place of a ladder.

29 CFR  1926.100(a):Employees working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns, were not protected by protective helmets:  Location: Jobsite- 527 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA   On July 16, 2024, an employee was exposed to overhead struck-by hazards from tools and materials while working at ground level as other employees were working on the roof where protective helmets were not utilized.

J LOJA CONSTRUCTION INC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1645700, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on May 2, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 240 Mast Rd, Manchester, NH.

29 CFR  1926.503(a)(1):The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  Location- 526 Waverly Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA Roof  On July 16, 2024 , an employee was exposed to falls from heights up to 20 feet to the ground while conducting roofing activities where fall protection training was not provided to recognize and minimize fall hazards.  J LOJA CONSTRUCTION INC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.503(a)(2) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1645700, citation number 1, item number 1-c and was affirmed as a final order on May 2, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 240 Mast Rd, Manchester, NH.
