29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) Worksite, 569 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866: On or about January 25, 2024,employees were using a portable extension ladder to access the roof of a residential structure approximately 20 feet above the ground. The ladder side rails extended approximately 13 inches above the landing surface.
