29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and maintain at each workplace, a written hazard communication program which described how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200 paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) for labels and other forms of warning, safety data sheets, and employee information and training would be met: a) DLB Pretzels Inc. DBA Philadelphia Pretzel Factory located at or near 6901 Market Street, Upper Darby, PA 19082 - On or about July 17, 2024, a written Hazard Communication Program was not provided where employees are exposed to hazardous chemicals throughout food preparation activities and daily cleaning procedures. Employees are exposed to hazardous chemicals including but not limited to the following: -Sodium hydroxide, as contained in the Philadelphia Pretzel Factory Baker's Lye Food Grade packages. -Sodium hypochlorite, as contained in Prime Source Germicidal Ultra Bleach. -Ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, sodium metasilicate, and sodium hydroxide, as contained in Prime Source Tuf Duty Cleaner/Degreaser. -etc

29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employers shall provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area: a) DLB Pretzels Inc. DBA Philadelphia Pretzel Factory located at or near 6901 Market Street, Upper Darby, PA 19082 - On or about July 17, 2024, employees were not provided effective information/training on the hazardous chemicals in their work areas. Employees are exposed to chemicals, including but not limited to: -Sodium hydroxide, as contained in the Philadelphia Pretzel Factory Baker's Lye Food Grade packages. -Sodium hypochlorite, as contained in Prime Source Germicidal Ultra Bleach. -Ethylene glycol monobutyl ether, sodium metasilicate, and sodium hydroxide, as contained in Prime Source Tuf Duty Cleaner/Degreaser. -etc
