29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not required to wear appropriate goggles, to protect them from the rays when noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields were not used:  a)  Bay 10:  On or about July 18,  2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to radiation hazards, in that the employer did not provide and ensure the use of eye protection for welding rays  where flameproof screens or shields were not installed around welding activities while employees perform metal fabrication work using machines including the FICEP, Accupress, large HEM saw and small HEM saw.  b) Bay 12:  On or about July 18,  2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed employees to radiation hazards, in that the employer did not provide and ensure the use of eye protection for welding rays  where flameproof screens or shields were not installed around welding activities while employees perform metal fabrication work using machines including the FICEP, Accupress, large HEM saw and small HEM saw.
