29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Worksite, 7 Maple Ave., Beacon, NY: On or about 7/17/2024, the employer did not ensure that each employee was provided with fall protection training. Untrained employees, engaged in residential roofing, were not using any means of fall protection. The employees were exposed to fall hazards between 8 to 19 feet. b) Worksite, 7 Maple Ave., Beacon, NY: On or about 7/17/2024, the employer did not ensure that each employee was provided with adequate fall protection training. Inadequately trained employees, engaged in residential roofing, were not using any means of fall protection. The employees were exposed to fall hazards between 8 to 19 feet. NOTE: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection casefile, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
