29 CFR  1926.451(c)(2)(iv): Front-end loaders and similar pieces of equipment were used to support scaffold platforms without being specifically designed by the manufacturer for such use:  Note:  Preamble to Subpart L promulgated new paragraph (c)(2)(iv) & (v) in final rule to provide guidance. Added provision requires that in the case of fork-lifts, the entire scaffold platform be secured to the forklift.    a) Worksite was located at 1001 Deal Road, Ocean Township, NJ 07723:  A worker was observed standing on an improvised work platform of a wooden pallet on the forks of a SkyJack SJ643 TH Telehandler while he was painting the front of a new firehouse, without fall protection, approximately sixteen feet above ground level.  Violation was observed on or about July 17, 2024.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
