29 CFR 1910.333(a)(2): Where exposed live parts were not deenergized (i.e., for reasons of increased or additional hazards or infeasibility), other safety-related work practices were not used to protect employees who could be exposed to the electrical hazards involved: a) On or about July 14, 2024 at the 326/327 switchyard, an employee troubleshooting the failure of power to a capacitor bank was not protected through safe-related work practices from an energized source rated at approximately 13.8 kilovolts (kV).

29 CFR 1910.335(a)(2)(ii): Protective shields, protective barriers, or insulating materials were not used to protect each employee from shock, burns, or other electrically related injuries while that employee is working near exposed energized parts which might be accidentally contacted or where dangerous electric heating or arcing might occur: a) On or about July 14, 2024 at the 326/327 switchyard, an employee troubleshooting the failure of power to a capacitor bank was not protected by protective shields or protective barriers from an energized source rated at 13.8 kilovolts (kV).
