29 CFR 1910.28(b)(3)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee was protected from falling through any hole (including skylights) that were 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level. a) Workplace, Peconic Bay Medical Center, Riverhead, NY- Employees were exposed to falls of approximately 4.5ft while walking into the blood pathology lab which had an unprotected open hole in the floor; on or about 7/18/24. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
