29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): Within twenty-four (24) hours after the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, the employer did not report the in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye to OSHA. On June 8, 2024, an employee suffered a head and neck injury that required hospitalization and surgery. The employer did not report to OSHA within 24-hours of the hospitalization. The event occurred at approximately 1:30PM on June 8, 2024, but was not reported to the local office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration until June 10, 2024 at approximately 10:02AM.
