29 CFR 1910.178(p)(1):Powered industrial truck(s) found to be in need of repair, defective, or in any way unsafe had not been taken out of service until restored to safe operating condition(s) a) On or about July 24, 2024 at worksite: Employees were exposed to hazards when they were allowed operate the CAT C5000 forklift (Serial No.: AT9003500) in which the hydraulic hoses protective cover had been worn to where the inner hose is exposed, there was also damage to tires and the rear vent. b) On or about July 24, 2024 at worksite: Employees were exposed to hazards when they were allowed operate the Nissan MUG1F2A30LV forklift (Chassis No.: UG1F2-9L642) in which the the overhead protective frame had been heavily damaged and was missing screws.
