29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section. a) Jobsite located at 1643 N 6th St. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania- On or about July 25, 2024, the employer did not ensure an employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. Employees were framing the residential building approximately 12 feet above the ground level without the use of a fall protection system, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards. b) Jobsite located at 1643 N 6th St. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania- On or about July 25, 2024, the employer did not ensure an employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels was protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. An employee was framing the pilot house of residential building approximately 10 feet above the lower level without the use of a fall protection system, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.
