29 CFR 1910.184(c)(7):Slings shall be padded or protected from the sharp edges of their loads. a) On or about 07/17/2024, the employer did not ensure that employees utilizing a polyester sling to lift a stainless steel half hard coil weighing 1508lbs in a basket configuration had padded or protected the sling against the burr on the coil which sliced through the sling and dropped the load on an employee's foot.

29 CFR 1910.184(c)(9):All employees shall be kept clear of loads about to be lifted and of suspended loads. a) On or about 07/16/2024, the employer did not ensure the employees were clear of the stainless steel coil weighing 1500lbs being hoisted using a polyester strap in that employees would place their feet on the pallet for the last load to be lifted to prevent the pallet from flipping.
