29 CFR  1910.134(h)(2)(i): Respirators were not stored to protect them from damage, contamination, dust, sunlight, extreme temperatures, excessive moisture, and damaging chemicals or  were not packed or stored to prevent deformation of the facepiece and exhalation valve:  Motor Transportation Bay 1: On and/or before July 25, 2024, employees conducted vehicle repairs using portable tools that created metal dust and voluntarily wore a 3M 1502 half mask respirator with 3M 60921 cartridges. The respirator and cartridges were stored in a work tool cabinet open and exposed to shop environmental dusts and high heat conditions.  The employer had not ensured the respirator and cartridges were protected from contamination which potentially exposed employees to dust inhalation hazards.
