29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2):Basic Requirement. Within twenty-four (24) hours after the in-patient hospitalization of one or more employees or an employee's amputation or an employee's loss of an eye, as a result of a work-related incident, you must report the in-patient hospitalization, amputation, or loss of an eye to OSHA. a. Ligonier Construction Company at a worksite located at 68310 Arrowhead Road, Cambridge, OH 43725: On or about April 26, 2024, the employer did not ensure that a work-related injury incident resulting in an in-patient hospitalization was reported within 24 hours. An employee was hospitalized following an injury incident at a natural gas pipeline installation project on April 26, 2024 which was not reported to OSHA until July 25, 2024.
