29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(4)(iii)(A)(1)(i): Contaminated sharps were not discarded immediately or as soon as feasible in containers that are: Closable. a) On or about July 29,2024 - SCO Family & Services located at 250 Conklin Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11236 Employees are exposed to the hazards of bloodborne pathogens when performing tasks such as but not limited to finger sticks using sharps such as but not limited to lancets. The employees discarded the contaminated sharps in the sharps container that was not closeable. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1,000.00 AS PER 29 CFR 1903.19.
