29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 ft (0.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: A) On or about 08/01/2024, at the site of 221-09 Corbett Road. Bayside, NY Employees were using a portable ladder to gain access to a roof. The ladder side rails extended approximately 1 1/2 feet above the upper landing surface. The employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 22 ft to the ground below.
