29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. Employees working on a residential roof were exposed to fall hazards. This was most recently documented on or about August 1, 2024 at a residential site located at 4816 Webster Street, Omaha, Nebraska. Employees were re-roofing a shed on a residential property which was measured at about 8ft with a slope of about 45 degrees. Employees were working on the shed, unprotected from falls.
