29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:  a) On or about 8/1/2024 at a roof project located at 1 Concord Street, Buffalo, New York; employees were replacing the roof of a two story house. The roof had an 12 in 12 pitch and an eave height of approximately 22  feet. There was no fall protection in use.  NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:  a) On or about 8/1/2024 at a roof project located at 1 Concord Street, Buffalo, New York; employees were placing sheathing on the roof of a two story house. Employees were accessing the ladder jack scaffold with an extension ladder and the side rails of the ladder did not extend 3 feet above the landing surface.  NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
