(a) On 7/30/24 at 1025 14th Avenue South, Fargo, ND, employees were exposed to a fall hazard greater than 6 feet while installing a waterproof membrane along the edge of a flat roof.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to upper landing surfaces, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladders were used to gain access. (a) On July 30, 2024, at 1025 14th Avenue South, Fargo, ND employees were exposed to hazards associated with an extension ladder used by employees to ascend or descent from an elevated walking working surface to install a waterproof membrane on a flat roof, the ladder did not have rails that extended three feet above the upper landing surface or secured to the roof.
