29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3): Portable fire extinguishers were not subjected to an annual maintenance check: a) On or about August 1, 2024, at the Tropical Port Container, property of Crowley Saint Croix - there was a fire extinguisher, brand Buckeye, 5 pounds, model 5HISA40ABC, serial number H07688393, not subjected to the annual maintenance check since 2022, exposing employees to fire hazards. b) On or about August 1, 2024, at the old MNT Trucking Work Area - there was a fire extinguisher, brand Buckeye, model 5HISA40 ABC, serial number H07684514, not subjected to the annual maintenance check since 2022, exposing employees to fire hazards. c) On or about August 1, 2024, at the old MNT Trucking Work Area - forklift, there was a fire extinguisher, brand unknown, model 2.5SA ABC, serial number F53122480, not subjected to the annual maintenance check since 2022, exposing employees to fire hazards. d) On or about August 1, 2024, at the Crowley office - there was a fire extinguisher, brand Kidde, model unknown, serial number 234043, not subjected to the annual maintenance check since 2022, exposing employees to fire hazards. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for all instances of this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.
