29 CFR 1910.333(c)(3)(i)(B): When an unqualified person is working on the ground in the vicinity of overhead lines, the person may not bring any conductive object closer to unguarded, energized lines than the distance given in paragraph (c)(3)(i)(A) of this section. Location - Service drop side of the swelling: On or about 8/8/2024, an unqualified employee was not protected from electrical hazards while utilizing conductive tools near/on energized residential powerlines.

29 CFR 1910.333(c)(3)(iii)(A): Vehicles or mechanical equipment capable of having parts of their structures elevated near energized overhead lines were not operated so that a clearance of 10 feet (305 cm) was maintained. Location - Front yard: On or about 8/7/2024, a truck crane was hoisting/lowering cut trees within 10 feet of an energized residential distribution line. The Martel Crane and Tree Service, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.333(c)(3)(iii)(A), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1727389, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/31/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 8 Strafford Ln. Billerica, MA 01821.
