1926.300(b)(1) When power operated tools are designed to accommodate guards, they shall be equipped with such guards when in use. a) On or about August 5, 2024, an employee cutting a one-foot by eight-foot by three-inch foam insulation board on a DeWalt mobile table saw (Model number - DWE7491, Serial number - 668226) during the insulation of a commercial buildings exterior, was missing the blade guard assembly, splitter, and anti-kickback assembly above the base plate resulting in an amputation; the employer did not ensure that the DeWalt mobile table saw was equipped with the blade guard assembly, splitter, and anti-kickback assembly above the base plate.
