29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface having an unprotected side or edge which was six or more feet (1.8m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall protection: a) East Somerdale Sq., Somerdale NJ: An employee was exposed to a fall hazard of approximately twenty feet to the ground below. The individual was working from the edge of the roof installing metal fascia backing on the front side of building and was not protected with personal fall protection or any other means. Observed on or about 08/16/24. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
