29 CFR 1910.212(a)(2): Guard on machine were not affixed to the machine or secured elsewhere when attachment to the machine was not possible: (a) 9625 River Road, Pennsauken, NJ: The employer failed to prevent employee exposure to amputation and struck-by hazards. Employee was exposed to hazards such as those created by rotating parts and flying wooden chips. The Rotorchopper 75 DK rotating conveyor belt / roller guard was not affixed to the machine exposing the employee to the rotating assembly and possible flying wood chips on or about 08/16/2024. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
