OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to the hazard of being struck by falling trusses, or falling from heights, as a result of inadequate temporary restraint and bracing during a roof truss installation.    (a) Jobsite at 186 Poppasquash Road in Bristol: On or about 8/19/2024, six employees were exposed to struck by and/or fall hazards while installing trusses on top of wood framed walls, with an approximate height of 11 feet, that spanned a three-car garage of approximately 34 feet in width, without adequate restraint and bracing on trusses, prior to and during a truss collapse event. The first truss was not provided with proper ground bracing, and the remaining trusses were not provided with proper lateral and diagonal bracing.

(a) Jobsite at 186 Poppasquash Road in Bristol: On or about 8/19/2024, the employer did not ensure that employees working on building walls and trusses were provided with an adequate method of fall protection when working at heights of approximately 11 feet or more, while installing roof trusses that collapsed, causing employees to fall, resulting in serious injuries including broken bones.
