29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) Production Area: On or about August 13, 2024, and at times prior, the employer exposed an employee to crushing and amputation hazards, in that the employer did not install point of operation guarding on the Tennsmith Mechanical Press Model MSE6-16 Serial Number 15019 while the employee was operating it.
