29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(22): Employees using ladders were carrying objects or loads that could cause the employee to lose balance and fall:    a) On or about August 19, 2024, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling from elevations up to approximately 17 feet when climbing a portable ladder while carrying materials to a roof deck landing surface.    No abatement certification or documentation required for this violation.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b):   The employer does not protect each employee from the hazard of falling by the use of fall protection devices.    a) This most recently occurred on August 19, 2024, at 100 Hazel, Glencoe, Illinois, where employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 25 feet from a pitched roof and 17 feet from a low slope roof while performing roofing work without the benefit of fall protection.   To abate this hazard in the future, the employer must ensure that employees are protected from the hazard of falling by the use of fall protection devices.   This employer has been cited for this practice that included:  Corner Construction Corp. was previously cited for a Repeat violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1729539, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on or about April 23, 2024, with respect to a worksite located at 428 37th Street, Downers Grove, Illinois.  Corner Construction Corp. was previously cited for a Repeat violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1656869, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on or about September 7, 2023, with respect to a worksite located at 1400 W. Thomas Street, Arlington Heights, Illinois.  Corner Construction Corp. was previously cited for a Willful violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1661070, citation 2, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on or about June 20, 2023, with respect to a worksite located at 22 N. Belmont, Arlington Heights, Illinois.  Corner Construction Corp. was previously cited for a Serious violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1615431, citation 1, item 2b, and was affirmed as a final order on or about January 12, 2023, with respect to a worksite located at 422 W. Russell Street, Barrington, Illinois.  Pursuant to 20 CFR 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance, including an explanation of how these steps protect its employees from fall hazards.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed:    a) On or about August 19, 2024, employees were exposed to the hazard of falling approximately 17 feet where a portable extension ladder did not extend at least 3 feet above the landing surface of a low slope roof.
