29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): When portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access: a) Jobsite located at or near 43 W. Manoa Rd. Havertown, PA - On or about August 21, 2024, the employer did not ensure the side rails of a portable ladder used for access to an upper landing surface extended at least 3 feet above the upper landing surface being accessed. Employees utilized a portable ladder to access a one story roof without having side rails extended at least 3 feet above the landing surface, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. The employees were performing roofing activities from the roof of a 1 and 3 story building without the use of fall protection, thereby exposing employees to fall hazards. a) Jobsite located at or near 43 W. Manoa Rd Havertown PA - On or about August 21, 2024, the employer did not ensure employees performing residential construction were protected from falls by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. Two employees were performing roofing activities from the sloped roof of a three-story building without the use of fall protection and were exposed to fall hazards. b) Jobsite located at or near 43 W. Manoa Rd Havertown PA - On or about August 21, 2024, the employer did not ensure employees performing residential construction were protected from falls by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. One employee was performing roofing activities from the sloped roof of a one story porch without the use of fall protection and was exposed to fall hazards. Panther Remodeling, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1737593, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 06/06/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 1 Gail Drive, Monmouth Beach, NJ 07750. Panther Remodeling, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard , which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1681790, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 03/05/2024, with respect to a workplace located at 560 NJ-57 Port Murray, NJ 07865.
