29 CFR 1926.454(a): The employer did not have each employee who performed work while on a scaffold trained by a person qualified in the subject matter to recognize the hazards associated with the type of scaffold being used and to understand the procedures to control or minimize those hazards: a) Worksite, Room 7, Scissor lift: On or about August 24, 2024, an employee was using a Genie GS-1930 scissor lift to paint piping and was not trained on the recognition of hazards associated with scissor lifts to include the proper procedures for erecting, maintaining, and disassembling the fall protection systems being used. The employee sustained a fractured neck after falling from the scissor lift platform.
