OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):   The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees:  (a) 101 West Bern Street, Reading, PA; Strip Department, Wet Grinder - On or about August 26, 2024, the rollers next to the grinding cabinet were not guarded to prevent employee contact with the rollers. Employees were exposed to a caught-in hazard.  (b) 101 West Bern Street, Reading, PA; Strip Department, Wet Grinder - On or about September 3, 2024, the guarding to the right of the observation mirror station on the south end of the machine was not enclosed to prevent employees from entering the partially guarded area around the wet grinder machine. Employees were exposed to a caught-in hazard.  (c) 101 West Bern Street, Reading, PA; Strip Department, Wet Grinder - On or about September 3, 2024, the rollers to the left of the observation mirror station on the south end of the machine was not guarded to prevent employee contact with the rollers. Employees were exposed to a caught-in hazard.  (d) 101 West Bern Street, Reading, PA; Strip Department, Wet Grinder - On or about September 3, 2024, the rollers to the right of the metal spool area and to the left of the observation mirror station on the south end of the machine were not guarded to prevent employee contact with the rollers. Employees were exposed to a caught-in hazard.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
