29 CFR 1926.451(g)(1): Each employee on a scaffold more than 10 feet (3.1 m) above a lower level shall be protected from falling to that lower level. Paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (vii) of this section establish the types of fall protection to be provided to the employees on each type of scaffold. Paragraph (g)(2) of this section addresses fall protection for scaffold erectors and dismantlers. a. Located at the job site located at 857 Mill Stone (Pulte Homes Lot# 2194), Sunbury, Ohio: On or about September 10, 2024, the employer did not ensure that employees working from scaffolds at greater than 10 feet utilized fall protection measures. An employee was working from an Alum-A-Pole pumpjack scaffold platform to install vinyl siding on the exterior of a two-story new build residential structure without fall protection measures, thereby exposing the employee to a fall hazard of approximately 17 feet.
