29 CFR 1915.72(a)(3): Portable ladders were not lashed, blocked, or otherwise secured to prevent their displacement: a) Huntington Ingalls Newport News Shipbuilding 4101 Washington Ave. Newport News, On or about September 13, 2024, an employee was transiting an 18 ft. job-made single wooden ladder that was not secured to prevent displacement. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
