29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section: a) Foam Department: On or about September 17, 2024, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards in that the employer did not develop procedures to control hazardous energy for employees engaged in jobs such as but not limited to the removal and replacement of carriers for the foam molds. Hyundai Transys Georgia Seating Systems, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 1910.147(c)(4)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1682065, Citation 1, Item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on January 18, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 1101 Newton Drive in Champaign, Illinois.

29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation: a) Foam Department: On or about September 17, 2024, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to caught-in hazards in that the employer did not train authorized employees who perform lockout tagout evolutions during jobs such as but not limited to the removal and replacement of carriers on the foam line, in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation.
