29 CFR  1903.19(c)(1):  The employer did not certify to OSHA, within 10 calendar days after the abatement date, that the cited violation had been abated:  Facility:  On, or about, April 17, 2025, the employer had not certified that the violations contained in the Citation and Notification of Penalty for Inspection 1776095 that was issued on December 10, 2024 had been abated.

29 CFR  1910.125(f)(2)(i): Vapor area(s) were not provided with manual fire extinguishers that were suitable for flammable and combustible liquid fires and that conformed to the requirements of section 1910.157:  Ref. 29 CFR 1910.157(e)  Heat Treat Area:  On, or about, September 17, 2024, portable fire extinguishers that were provided in the work area had not been inspected since 2019.  29 CFR 1910.157(e) requires that fire extinguishers be subject to annual inspections.

29 CFR  1910.125(f)(2)(ii):  Vapor area(s) were not provided with an automatic fire-extinguishing system that conformed to the requirements of subpart L of this part:  Heat Treat Area:  On, or about, September 17, 2024, an automatic fire suppression system was not provided on the Dow internal quench batch furnace.  The quench tank had a calculated capacity of 960 gallons and a surface area of 42.7 square feet.  Abatement Note:  Compliance with 29 CFR 1910.125(f)(3) may also be an acceptable abatement method.
