29 CFR 1910.23(b)(8): The employer did not ensure that ladders are used only for the purposes for which they were designed. a) Jobsite: 9001 State Rd, Philadelphia, PA - On or about 9/19/2024, the employer permitted employees to utilize a self-supporting 6 foot platform ladder in a manner other than the purpose for which it was designed, thus exposing them to slip and fall hazards of up to approximately 5 feet. The employees used the ladder in a closed position with the face of the ladder resting on the side of tank#2 to access the top of the tank.
