29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13):"Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. Located at 5991-6005 Eden Valley Drive, Westerville, Ohio 43081: On or about September 20, 2024, the employer failed to ensure the employees were protected from falls when performing roofing work from a steeped pitched townhome building. The employees were exposed to fall hazards from approximately 24 feet from the roof edge to the ground below. Luis Antonio Ramirez-Artiga was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1688849, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on October 4, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 877 Pinehurst Lane Akron, OH 44313. Luis Antonio Ramirez-Artiga was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1554469, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 5, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 6435 Cranston Way Dublin, OH 43016.
