29 CFR 1910.1025(d)(6)(iii):Where the initial monitoring revealed that employee exposure to lead was above the permissible exposure limit, monitoring was not repeated at least quarterly and continued at the required frequency until at least two consecutive measurements taken at least 7 days apart were below the PEL and at or above the action level: a.) United Brass Works, Inc. dba Keystone Foundry Division of United Brass Works, Production Areas, On or about September 23rd, 2024 and times prior thereto: The employer did not perform air monitoring quarterly, when air sampling results from the most recent air monitoring indicated an exposure to Lead above the Permissible Exposure Limit. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.1025(j)(2)(i)(B): The employer did not make available biological monitoring in the form of blood sampling and analysis for lead and zinc protoprohyrin levels available at least every 2 months to employees whose last blood sample indicated a blood lead level at or above 40 micrograms per 100 grams of whole blood: a) United Brass Works, Inc. dba Keystone Foundry Division of United Brass Works, Production Areas, On or about September 23rd, 2024 and times prior thereto: Two employees that tested greater than 40 ug/100g of whole blood in April of 2024 were not retested until September 2024. Additionally, the employees were not retested twice in September 2024 or sooner, as required. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
