Employees were accessing the roof with an extension ladder and the side rails of the ladder did not extend 3 feet above the landing surface. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 9/18/2024 at a roof project located at 144 Eugene Avenue, Kenmore, New York; employees were replacing the roof of a two story house. The roof had an 8 in 12 pitch and an eave height of approximately 22 feet. There was no fall protection in use. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED C&B Construction 1 Corp was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1739123, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/24/24, with respect to a workplace located at 211 Norwood Avenue, Buffalo, New York.
