29 CFR 1910.133(a)(3): The employer did not provide protective eyewear for employees who required prescription glasses while engaging in operations that involved eye hazards wore eye protection that incorporated the prescription in its design, or wore eye protection that could be worn over the prescription lenses without disturbing the proper position of the prescription lenses or the protective lenses: a) Shop: An employee wore prescription glasses without the use of safety glasses while exposed to flying particles and objects when operating equipment, such as, but not limited to, a pneumatic nail gun, compressed air for cleaning and a chop saw, on or about 9/25/24. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
