OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to caught in-between, struck by, and fall hazards from trucks pulling trailers away from the loading dock at unexpected times, which left personnel or equipment inside the trailer, or on the dock plate: Location: Platform B SIPS On or about 1/31/25, employees loading, unloading, and staging materials for loading into trailers of semi-trucks are exposed to caught in-between and fall hazards during unanticipated truck departures. An employee was injured when a truck pulled away from the dock, causing the powered industrial truck to fall between the truck and the dock, striking the employee.
