1910.134(c)(2)(i) An employer may provide respirators at the request of employees or permit employees to use their own respirators, if the employer determines that such respirator use will not in itself create a hazard. If the employer determines that any voluntary respirator use is permissible, the employer shall provide the respirator users with the information contained in Appendix D to this section ("Information for Employees Using Respirators When Not Required Under the Standard"); and

29 CFR 1910.151(b): First aid supplies approved by a consulting physician were not readily available: On or about September 27, 2024, US Canna Missouri LLC, dba Green Farms Missouri, located at 206 Commerce Drive in Cuba, Missouri, did not provide an eyewash station that complies with ANSI Z358.1 at the facility's THC oil extraction from the marijuana plant. The facility used corrosive and flammable liquids to extract the THC in the manufacture of the THC gummy candies. Contact of corrosive materials to the eye may cause corneal damage that may cause a permanent eye injury resulting in diminished vision or blindness. Rinsing the eye using the eyewash to dilute and remove the chemical or solid particles is paramount to minimize or prevent eye injury that could result in permanent eye injury.
