29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): (a) On or before 10/1/2024, ECC LLC, the correcting and controlling employer, did not ensure that all subcontractor employees for EFF Roofing engaged in roofing activities were protected from fall hazards. A subcontractor employee was installing shingles on the first story roof without being tied off. A subcontractor employee was blowing off a completed roof with a leaf blower and was not utilizing fall protection. Several employees on the first story roof were utilizing fall arrest systems with their lifelines maxed out. These conditions exposed subcontractor employees to fall hazards greater than ten feet.
