29 CFR 1910.141(g)(2): Employees were permitted to consume food or beverage in area(s) exposed to toxic materials: a) Treatment area/Lab area/Exam rooms: On October 1, 2024, and at times prior to, the employer allowed employees to consume food and beverages where hazardous chemicals and biohazards may be present or were in use to include but not limited to, biological specimens, treatments, medications, and chemicals such as Cayman Chemical Chlorhexidine and Deb Med Bactoshield CHG 4% containing Chlorhexidine Gluconate 4% and Isopropyl alcohol 5-10%. Note* Abatement certification is required for this item.
