29 CFR 1910.36(d)(1): Employee(s) were not able to open an exit route door from the inside at all times without keys, tools, or special knowledge. a) 1400 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17604 - employees were exposed to emergency egress hazards due to the employer requiring the use of cutting pliers to cut the shackle of a flexible padlock in order to open the exit gate located in the outdoor courtyard, on or about October 3, 2024. b) 1400 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17604 - employees were exposed to emergency egress hazards, as they would need to travel from the outdoor courtyard through a locked door requiring key card access and travel back into the building's breakroom area to the exit discharge, on or about October 3, 2024. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
